March 30 Falling off the wagonHi all its me Linda, I have not updated my space lately because i fell off the wagon. I was working out four to five days a week walking 15 to 20 miles a week and gained weight. I got depressed and stressed and quit the gym. I went to my doctor and I gained ten pounds in one month. He thinks I might be hypo glycemic as I crave sugar and cannot lose weight. I had blood work done still waiting for results. He also put me on the South Beach Diet so I am back to eating healty and if I don't lose weight at least the doctor will see that there must be something wrong. I only gain weight not loose! February 15 HELPJanuary 30 Bob is Mean I cannot believe Bob made Jillian cry, I don't like him anymore. January 28 Walked Five Miles Went to the gym yesterday Sunday's are our long cardio day, I walked five miles in 80 minutes! Getting faster January 16 Our Workouts Kori and I workout at the gym three days a week. On Monday we do chest, bench press, incline press, dumb flys, cable pulls, etc. we like to vary our workouts. On Wednesdays we do biceps, triceps, and shoulders, doing alternating dumbell curls, overhead tricep extentions, skull crushers, pulldowns etc. on Friday we do legs, squats, lunges, leg press, etc. Along with free weights we use the universal equipment that isolates the muscles more than free weights. We do cardio Mon. Wed and Fri. doing 45 minutes to an hour. The gym is ten miles from my house so on weekends I do The New York City Ballet Workout, Kori runs on the weekends. We both hike when the weather permits, right now being winter its hard. I really enjoy lifting weights I can feel myself getting stronger and its such a great adrenalin rush! January 12 HALF MARATHONKori and I are training for a half marathon in May in Rhode Island. Kori is training to run it and I am training to walk it. We know it will be hard work but gives us both a goal to work for. If anyone would like to give us training tips please feel free January 10 Tuesday's Biggest Looser Show What did everyone think of the low numbers everyone pulled on Tuesday's Biggest Looser? I thought I was great that they lost in reality what I would loose! If I could get the big losses like they do I would be in my glory and be skinny!!!! January 06 Kori & LindaLinda encouraged me to join the gym with her about 6 years ago. Since then I've lost about 80 pounds and never gained any back. She's been a great friend and inspiration. This year my goal is to run 1/2 marathon. Linda and I have both had health set backs this year but we are ready to get back on track and 1/2 marathon is just the focus we need. January 05 AFTER HOLIDAYS SUGAR WITHDRAWLWell made it through the first week after holiday cookies and fudge KORI & LINDA BEST FRIENDS AND BIGGEST LOOSERS Hi all who have arrived at our page. We have watched the Biggest Looser since the show started in 2005, its the biggest motivation me and Kori have, we call each other during the show to talk about it! I also have the Biggest Looser cook book and use it often. I really love the tips the trainers give during the show it helps with diet and workout. |
