Falling off the wagon

Hi all its me Linda, I have not updated my space lately because i fell off the wagon. I was working out  four to five days a week walking 15 to 20 miles a week and gained weight. I got depressed and stressed and quit the gym. I went to my doctor and I gained ten pounds in one month. He thinks I might be hypo glycemic as I crave sugar and cannot lose weight. I had blood work done still waiting for results. He also put me on the South Beach Diet so I am back to eating healty and if I don't lose weight at least the doctor will see that there must be something wrong. I only gain weight not loose!

HELP

Sad I have only lost four pounds in two months, since starting the Biggest Loser space. I workout three to four days a week and am training for a half marathon so I do a lot of cardio. I have lost two inches off my waist and hips but the scale never moves! I eat very healthy and never cheat, I have a very strong will power. I have been to my doctor and have had a checkup and my thyroid checked, I get the same answer when I say I am not losing weight....well you know when you get older its harder to loose! I am sick of this answer!!!!! I see the people on the Biggest Loser weigh ins loosing five to ten pounds a week and I want to to that! Biggest Loser motivates me but when the scales do not move this is depressing. I have a balanced diet and drink half my body weight in ounces per day and exercise, I really don't know why I am not losing....please all you Biggest Losers Please give me any advice!!!! My goal is to look like Jillian she is my mentor the most awsome person in the world. PLEASE HELP!

Bob is Mean

I cannot believe Bob made Jillian cry, I don't like him anymore. Baring teeth  Jillian is my mentor and you watch she will bring that black team back and they will be winners!!!! The blue team just wins because they have those big guys but as soon as those guys get close to a normal weight they will stop pulling big numbers, its going to get harder for them to lose weight. I felt so bad for Jillian last night! I want to get together with Jillian and beat Bob up Open-mouthed

Walked Five Miles

Went to the gym yesterday Sunday's are our long cardio day, I walked five miles in 80 minutes! Getting faster Smile The entire time I was walking my five miles Kori was running!!!!!!

Our Workouts

Kori and I workout at the gym three days a week. On Monday we do chest, bench press, incline press, dumb flys, cable pulls, etc. we like to vary our workouts. On Wednesdays we do biceps, triceps, and shoulders, doing alternating dumbell curls, overhead tricep extentions, skull crushers, pulldowns etc. on Friday we do legs, squats, lunges, leg press, etc. Along with free weights we use the universal equipment that isolates the muscles more than free weights.  We do cardio Mon. Wed and Fri. doing 45 minutes to an hour.
The gym is ten miles from my house so on weekends I do The New York City Ballet Workout, Kori runs on the weekends. We both hike when the weather permits, right now being winter its hard. I really enjoy lifting weights I can feel myself getting stronger and its such a great adrenalin rush!

HALF MARATHON

Kori and I are training for a half marathon in  May in Rhode Island. Kori is training to run it and I am training to walk it. We know it will be hard work but gives us both a goal to work for. If anyone would like to give us training tips please feel free Open-mouthed We would appreciate your help and support Light bulb

Tuesday's Biggest Looser Show

What did everyone think of the low numbers everyone pulled on Tuesday's Biggest Looser? I thought I was great that they lost in reality what I would loose! If I could get the big losses like they do I would be in my glory and be skinny!!!!Open-mouthed

Kori & Linda

Linda encouraged me to join the gym with her about 6 years ago.  Since then I've lost about 80 pounds and never gained any back. She's been a great friend and inspiration.  This year my goal is to run 1/2 marathon.  Linda and I have both had health set backs this year but we are ready to get back on track and 1/2 marathon is just the focus we need.Wink  I'll keep you posted!Sun

AFTER HOLIDAYS SUGAR WITHDRAWL

Well made it through the first week after holiday cookies and fudgeOpen-mouthed I think there maybe light at the end of the tunnel Rainbow Weighed myself today that was very depressing but I know I will loose it Angel Took my measurements that was even more scarry Angry
I will keep everyone updated on my weight loss, gee it gets harder as you get older to loose weight!!!!!!!




KORI & LINDA BEST FRIENDS AND BIGGEST LOOSERS

Hi all who have arrived at our page.Smile Kori and I have been best friends for years, about six years ago I got Kori to start weight training and working out with me, we enjoy hiking and she also runs in races. I quit working out for awhile to pursue billiards, but Kori never stopped working out, she has lost a lot of weight and is very strong.Open-mouthed  Last year I went back to the gym and was doing very well, getting stronger and stronger till I broke my ankle hiking in October.Sad  I went back to the gym in December and have been going regularly three days a week with Kori weight training and doing cardio.

We have watched the Biggest Looser since the show started in 2005,  its the biggest motivation me and Kori have, we call each other during the show to talk about it! I also have the Biggest Looser cook book and use it often. I really love the tips the trainers give during the show it helps with diet and workout.
